Product Description
InRoad®is an osteoconductive, bioceramic bone graft for dental applications designed to fill bony defects and voids. InRoad®is composed of 90 ± 5% hydroxyapatite (HA) and 10 ± 5% β-Tricalcium Phosphate (β-TCP) in a semi-dense, multi-porous structure.
InRoad®is produced as sterilized granules via gamma irradiation and packaged in sealed trays inside capped, glass bottles. InRoad®Dental Synthetic Bone Graft should be stored in a dry place at ambient temperature and is intended for single use only. InRoad®Dental Synthetic Bone Graft is available in two (2) sizes: 0.3-1.0mm (small) and 0.8-1.8mm (large). Either size may be purchased in volumes of 0.5cc, 1.0cc, 2.0cc, and 3.0cc.
Note that InRoad®Dental Synthetic Bone Graft should only be used by, or under the supervision of, specialized personnel experienced in the required techniques and use of biomaterials.
Advantages

2.
Interconnected multi-porous structure promotes wettability
-
3.
Easy to fill bony defects by the nature of granule type bone graft
Technology
The trabecular-like structure is unique to InRoad®and mimics that of natural bone with inspiration from the honeycomb patterns found in nature. Its structure is designed with both macro pores and secondary micro-channels within the structures’ walls as well as tertiary submicron pores throughout the material. With this three part design, the scaffold has a porosity greater than seventy-five percent (>75%) and an overall granule surface area 28% greater than that of a single porous structure. As a result, InRoad®has a high degree of wettability and absorption capabilities.
The macro pores (250 - 350μm) in conjunction with the micro-channels (50 - 79μm) allow for superior capillary action and cell migration facilitating active cell recruitment and encouraging homogeneous distribution throughout the matrices. These attributes of InRoad®maximize the ability of cells to saturate the synthetic bone graft to enhance the likelihood of cohesive bone regeneration. By nature of the porous design with micro-channels, the cells that dwell within InRoad®are provided with sufficient blood circulation to survive the immigrant cells and produce extracellular matrices that enable natural bone growth at the point of application.
