InRoad® is an osteoconductive, bioceramic bone graft for dental applications designed to fill bony defects and voids.
The trabecular-like structure is unique to InRoad® and mimics that of natural bone with inspiration from the honey comb patterns found in nature.
Its structure features a three-tiered porosity system, incorporating both macro pores and secondary micro-channels within the structures’ walls, and tertiary submicron pores throughout the material.
- Optimized Porosity: With this three-part design, the scaffold has a porosity over seventy-five percent (>75%) with a 28% larger surface area compared with non-micro-channel structure. As a result, InRoad® offers high wettability and absorption capabilities.
- Supports Cell Growth: The macro pores (250 – 350μm) in conjunction with the micro-channels (50 – 80μm) allow for superior capillary action and cell migration, facilitating active cell recruitment and encouraging homogeneous distribution throughout the matrices.
- Enhances Bone Regeneration: InRoad®’s open, porous structure maximizes the ability of cells to saturate the bone graft, enhancing the likelihood of cohesive bone regeneration.
- Encourages Natural Healing: The porous design with micro-channel ensures sufficient and continuous blood circulation, supporting resident cells’ survival and enabling them to produce extracellular matrices that enable natural bone growth at the point of application.
